From old leather jackets to bags
The recycled leather used in Lovia bags comes from old leather clothing, such as old leather jackets, which have been cut into pieces of leather. We want our bags to be long-lasting companions for their users, so the leather must be of high quality and durable. At the heart of the circular economy is the idea of using existing materials efficiently, rather than constantly creating new ones, in order to reduce the burden on the environment. The use of recycled leather fits perfectly with this idea. Our designer Outi hand-selects surplus pieces from leather clothing that are suitable for our bags and sketches a new use for them in the form of designer bags.
Our cooperation with the Recycling Center took place from 2015 to 2017.
