Treasures are created in the hands of artisans

Lovia bags are made by artisans in Italy. At the Clio factory near Milan, surplus material is given a new life by a skilled team with decades of experience in the production of designer bags. Our jewelry, inspired by the treasures of the forest, is created by a goldsmith in Alppila, Helsinki. With the help of 3D jewelry technology and 15 years of goldsmithing experience, ideas that emerge from the forests of Kainuu are transformed into concrete jewelry for their new owners. We know our producers very well and are in constant contact with them, which allows us to ensure the quality, ecology and ethics of the production.

One person's trash is another person's treasure

The main material for our bags is surplus leather and textiles, which we collect from waste from other industries: for example, leather sofa cutting waste from the furniture industry, fish skin, which is a surplus from food production, or moose skin from sustainable hunting. This reduces the environmental impact of our bags, as existing material is reused and new leather is not produced for the bags. The base material used in our jewelry is lead-free and nickel-free bronze and tompak, which are purchased from Germany. The recycled content of our jewelry is currently around 92-98 percent.

We take many concrete steps to reduce emissions, for example by using surplus material and designing products to be long-lasting and multi-purpose.
