Recycled leather from the Capitol Region
The Recyling Center of the Finnish capitol region is one of the most active actors in Finland when it come to sustainable actions. Through selling used items they donate to environmental education, helping 30 000 children, youth and adults to learn the lessons of recycling and sustainable consumption.

From old leather jackets into bags
The recycled leather utilised in Lovia bags comes from old leather clothes, such as jackets, cut into scraps. We want to make our items last, so the first and foremost requirement is material of high quality and durability. Utilising recycled leather fits perfectly into the thought of a circular economy, and in this way diminishes the environmental burden as it replaces a new material. Our designer Outi hand selects the right type of pieces for Lovia bags and sketches out a new purpose for them in the shape of bags.
Our collaboration with Kierrätyskeskus was done during 2015-2017.
