Pihka jewel is the crystallisation of Lovia’s ideology, combining organic and modern form. Pihka means resin, the golden potion of a pine tree with a healing ability. This special quality was also discovered by the old folk, and resin is to this day still used as a remedy.

"The Lovia jewellery collection was first born as a natural extension of our concept, and you can still see the same design aesthetic in the zipper pullers of our bags. Metal as a material is great, because it can be remelted and reformed almost endlessly. The great pine is an endless source of inspiration to me, and this is very present in the jewellery. You can see the pine cone scales that form the Pihka and Havu jewels together with a modern, clean-cut and sleek shape."

All Lovia jewellery is made by Tero Hannonen, goldsmith & founder or AU3 Goldsmiths in Helsinki. We partner up with artisans incredibly skilled in their craft. Tero focuses on high quality, down to every last detail, and has done so over 15 years as a goldsmith. AU3 Goldsmiths focuses on high quality, down to every last detail.

Lovia jewellery is crafted from a recycled bronze base, and the jewel itself is carved hollow from the inside, making it more light to wear on the ear. The rose gold pieces are first coated with yellow gold and then topped off with rose gold to ensure a lasting finish. The silver pieces are coated with sterling silver.
