We work together with Italian Anna Monti, who creates embroidery for our Lovia bags. You may recognise their work especially in our statement TRASH BAG.
Anna Monti is a family business founded in 1969, now operating in the third generation. Located in Brianza, near Milan in Italy, their history however, starts already in the 1920s. It was then when Regina, a skilled professional in embroidery moved into the house that still houses the headquarters of the business.
Today Anna Monti is a company where artisans can express themselves freely in the means of embroidery and text. Their main purpose has always been to have an innovative take on their area of expertise. A strong belief in their own core has made Anna Monti one of the most successful in their field.

We want to tell the stories of the people behind our products as transparently as possible, because you as the carrier of the bag deserve to know its story - right down to the details.
Maria Pia Colombo, the daughter of Anna Monti, took over the management of the company in 2001. At the factory the artisans create embroidery work for customer for many purposes, such as furniture, books, and even airplanes. They employ young hopefuls, who are given training in the craft by skilled professionals.
We discovered Anna Monti through our bag producer Clio and Fulvio, the head artisan there. With the skilled team of Anna Monti we were able to create our statement piece, TRASH BAG. All our bags are created out of excess material streams, essentially trash, so we wanted to make this message truly heards. What better way to do so than via one of our bags?
