Sustainable approach to packaging
It is crucial to take into account the environmental factors related to packaging. Unnecessary packaging material often winds up straight to the trash bin, and potentially also ends up not being recycled in the correct manner. We want to make sure that our packaging materials include only the essentials, and that all material is made out of recycled materials, as widely as possible. We have chosen Markprint, a print house in Lahti, Finland, as our partner in print materials. They name environmentally-friendly and high quality print material as their passion and mission.
Markprint utilises wood origin certificates PEFC and FSC as well as the Swan, the official Nordic Ecolabel. The use of the Swan label signifies that the company is taking into consideration its environmental impact and that the company also has met the strict criteria for gaining the label. For us at Lovia, it’s crucial to be able to find partners who share the same environmental values.

When looking for a partner to realise our care cards we especially wanted an actor that could use recycled materials. For us the card that comes with our products is special, because it carries along the DNA code for our items as well as the information to best take care of your treasure. The same card is given to our customers when delivering their package, so they are able to learn the history and care instructions of the products. This means we want to make sure that the quality also meets our requirements alongside the recycled feature of the material. Markprint makes almost all cardboard printed materials of Lovia, such as gift, business and care cards.
